Almost There: Portland On Cusp of R2032 Triumph After 9-6 Win
The Portland Evergreens moved to within one game of the Round 2033 today, downing the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids on the road at Atlantica by a score of 9-6. Evergreens designated hitter Tae-cho Han was named player of the game after he was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI. The win gives the Evergreens a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2032.

In the top of the second inning, first baseman John Ennis came through big-time for the Evergreens. With Portland leading 3-0, he belted a 2-run home run.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Han. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow in Hampton. The scheduled starters for the game are George Eisenhauer for Portland and Javier Desdin for Northern Virginia.
