Thunder Bay Wins Game in Extras; On Verge of R2033
|
An all-important Game of the Round 2032 went into extra innings at 5 Paces Park, with the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC eventually emerging on top. Thunder Bay has Joe Aller to thank, after the left fielder was 5 for 6 with 5 singles in the 6-3 victory. The Northern Lions BC are now one game away from the Round 2033, holding a - lead in the best-of- series.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Aller delivered big-time for Thunder Bay, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Tomás Vargas. The game-changing hit put the Northern Lions BC on top, 4-3.
In postgame comments, Aller said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
