Host Patriots Drop Pivotal Game , Now Trail Series -
|
Despite a great performance by Boston third baseman António Padilla, the Ft. Worth Cattlemen defeated the Patriots by the score of 5-4 at Dunkin Donuts Park today. Padilla was 4 for 5 with 3 doubles, while adding 3 RBI to earn player of the game honors, but could not prevent the Cattlemen from moving one game closer to the Round 2033. Ft. Worth now leads the Round 2032 - .
In the top of the 6th, shortstop Chris Etheridge gave Ft. Worth the lead when he hit a 3-run home run. The Cattlemen had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out home run off Boston pitcher Rick Converse changed that -- and Ft. Worth went on to win.
"It feels good to get this one," Etheridge told the Ft. Worth Times.
