Round 2032 Game 1 Victory for López\n and Northern Virginia
In a pivotal Game , the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids were hoping for a big game from starter Aurelio López. They got one.

The right-hander shut out the Las Vegas Flamingos, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 6-0 victory. The Rainbow Mermaids took the 6-0 win over the Las Vegas Flamingos to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

López was in the zone all game. He frustrated Las Vegas hitters while giving the Rainbow Mermaids 8 innings of quality work. López threw 114 pitches, allowing 7 hits and getting 5 punchouts.

"We had a good game plan," López said, "and we were able to execute it."
