de la Cavallería, Loons Sink Screaming Eagles Again in Game 3
The Minnesota Loons moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Mercer Island Screaming Eagles at Loony Bin by a score of 9-4. Loons third baseman José de la Cavallería was named player of the game after he went 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win gives the Loons a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-5 PL AA Championship.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when de la Cavallería hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Loons into the lead, 4-1.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said de la Cavallería.
