Shalom Levasier pitched a gem to help the South Beach Blaze escape with a tight 2-0 victory over the Washington Generals in a low-scoring PL A Championship contest today. The right-handed Levasier threw 9 innings of shutout ball in the win, just enough for the Blaze on a day when their offense dried up. South Beach now leads the best-of-5 series 2-0.

Levasier was in the zone all game. He frustrated Washington hitters while giving the Blaze 9 innings of quality work. Levasier threw 120 pitches, allowing 1 hit and getting 14 punchouts.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Levasier said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The next game is scheduled for Thursday, September 11th, 2031. Slated to start are Darby Marshall for South Beach and Bobby Ruegsegger for Washington.
