Flamingos Win in Glorious Fashion
|
The Las Vegas Flamingos wiggled past the Richardson City Thundercats, 3-2, at The Strip. Las Vegas pitcher Doug Green earned player of the game honors. Reliever Gilberto Medina picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Joe Pruitt took the loss. The Flamingos, at 18-11, lead by one game in their division.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Glyn Bolasky, hit a single. It helped Las Vegas seize the win.
Bolasky called the triumph "a good team win."
