Game was big. So was Stanford McCain.
The Richardson City starter rose to the occasion at Athletics Park today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Thundercats to a crucial 3-2 victory over the Athletic Club KC. McCain threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball as the Thundercats won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Silver League Championship.
The Athletic Club KC had trouble solving McCain, who surrendered 1 earned run on 4 hits over 7 innings.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," McCain told the Richardson City Herald.
