Home Field Advantage: Thompkins, Philadelphia 1776 Open Silver League Championship with Win

The Philadelphia 1776 BC started the Silver League Championship in dominant fashion today, blowing out the visiting Seattle Aviators at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum by a score of 11-1 and securing an early - lead in the best-of- series. BC right-hander Elroy Thompkins was named player of the game after he threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball.
Thompkins delivered a quality start for Philadelphia 1776. The 6' 2" right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 7.1 innings of work.
