Almost There: Las Vegas On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 3-2 Win
The Las Vegas Flamingos needed some last-minute heroics to do it, but ultimately emerged one game away from the Round 2 today. The Flamingos got the 3-2 win against the Boston Patriots in a walk-off at The Strip. Las Vegas right-hander Art Adams was named player of the game after a solid outing in which he threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the Flamingos a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

Sergio Ortíz was the walk-off hero for Las Vegas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Flamingos first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I just love going out and having a big game," Adams said when asked about being named player of the game. "It's an honor to have your talents recognized."
