Game was big. So was Jon Dunn.

In leading D.C. to a crucial 8-3 victory over the Toledo Stingers at Washington Stadium today, the D.C. starter rose to the occasion, tossing 8.1 good innings and earning player of the game honors. Dunn threw 8 innings allowing 3 runs as the Divided defended their home field to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 1.

Neil Lawson aided the D.C. cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Lawson.
