Pivotal Game Goes to Host Smoke, 7-6
|
Atlanta right fielder Chriss Mann was the key at Smoke Ballpark today, being named player of the game as he powered the Smoke to victory in a critical Game of the Round 1. The Smoke took the 7-6 win over the Richardson City Thundercats to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
Bobby Butterfield was the walk-off hero for Atlanta. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Smoke center fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"It feels good to get that win," said Mann. "Now it's on to the next one."
