Generals Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Walla Walla
|
Washington beat Walla Walla on the strength of starter Bobby Ruegsegger's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. Washington, at 38-32, sits in 5th place in the Premier A.
The Generals got a big at-bat from right fielder Silas Givens. For the game, Givens went 1-2 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave Washington a 2-0 lead.
"It was our day today," Givens told the Washington Gazette. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
