Marshall Sensational for Blaze
|
Pitcher Darby Marshall was sensational for the South Beach Blaze in his team's 1-0 triumph over the Idaho Falls Chukars. Marshall received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Wessel Rosas converted his 7th save in 10 tries. The Chukars, now 24-35, have lost 4 in a row.
The Blaze liked what they saw from Marshall. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Chukars to no earned runs on 4 hits over 7 innings, and striking out 11.
Marshall told a South Beach Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
