|
Washington Generals starter Phillip Donoghue was in fine form against the Galesburg Guzzlers at Washington Park, leading his team to a 6-1 win. In 6.2 innings, Donoghue surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 14 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Washington is now 28-24.
The Generals got a big at-bat from catcher Bartolo Ramos. For the game, Ramos went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Washington a 3-0 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Donoghue said.
