Express Come Back Late to Top Flamingos
|
The Wizarding Express bested the Las Vegas Flamingos by a score of 5-3, with left fielder Nathan Tanner getting the main credit. On the day, Tanner went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Express. Eijiro Takahashi, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The win moves Wizarding to a record of 9-9.
Tanner had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-1 curveball from Jack Carr, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Express a 5-3 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Tanner.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Tanner.
