Dae-ik Park made an impact in the 3-2 Gwinnett County win over Chicago. Park, who is tied for 6th in the PA in extra base hits with 13, was 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Gwinnett County reliever Xue-liang Li picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jason Todd was saddled with the loss. Brian Guilbert finished to wrap up his 12th save.
Park had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Jason Todd, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Black Cats a 3-2 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Park.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Park said after the game.
Gwinnett County has an impressive 23-11 record.
