Generals Get One-Run Win at Walla Walla
|
Washington starter Phillip Donoghue had a strong outing against the Walla Walla Walleye at Walleye Tank. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Donoghue picked up the win for Washington, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. Getting the save was Randy Gabaldon, his 3rd.
Dan Vanblarcom took Art Manning deep with no one out in the top of the fourth. On a 1-2 curveball, Vanblarcom drilled a 2-run home run to right. It was his 1st home run of the season and put Washington on top, 2-0.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Vanblarcom.
Washington now sits at 16-14, while Walla Walla falls to 17-13.
