River Rats Shut Out Chukars
|
The Columbia River Rats got a stellar performance from pitcher Anbrosio Mera, who handcuffed the Idaho Falls offense en route to a 2-0 win at Idaho Falls Park. The winning pitcher was Mera, now 2-1. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. Columbia is now 7-23, Idaho Falls 13-17.
In the top of the third, Tae-gyoon Ch'oe hit a 2-run double for Columbia. The 9th double of the season for the Columbia first baseman put the River Rats on top, 2-0.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Ch'oe, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
