Extra-Inning Win by River Rats over Generals
|
Washington got a terrific performance from pitcher Randy Gabaldon, but it wasn't enough to beat the Columbia River Rats. Columbia won the Columbia Stadium contest, 4-3. Gabaldon was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. Columbia now sits at 6-18, while Washington falls to 12-12.
Columbia took a 4-3 lead on Ken Moore's 16th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Moore hit in the bottom of the 14th, left Washington pitcher Mario Villalobos shaking his head.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Washington manager Jacob Curtis. "The effort was great."
