Tula Throttle Hotspur U-21, 5-1
|
The Chicago Tula picked up a win at Hotspur Kiddie Complex, knocking off the Phoenix Hotspur U-21, 5-1. Starting pitcher Alfred Osuch, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The win pushes Chicago to a record of 6-8.
It could have been a different outcome for Chicago, had it not been for Augusto Trejo, the 19-year old second baseman . Trejo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Chicago up, 2-1.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Chicago manager Joe Richard.
