The exploits of left fielder Josh Mawdesley helped the Washington Generals defeat the Gwinnett County Black Cats, 6-0. Mawdesley went 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs. The win brings the Generals to 6-4, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Mawdesley had a key at-bat for Washington early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and gave Washington an early 1-0 lead.
