Dominant Performance by Paílla in Washington Win
|
Manuel Paílla pitched a gem to lead Washington to a 2-0 victory over the Chicago Tula. Sherman Harrison closed the game out for Washington, earning his 5th save. The Generals keep rolling, raising their record to 5-1.
Paílla was in the zone all game. He frustrated Chicago hitters while giving the Generals 8.1 innings of quality work. Paílla threw 104 pitches, allowing 1 hit and getting 9 punchouts.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Paílla said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
