Behind a solid performance from catcher Anselmo Berneu, the Richardson City Thundercats defeated the Las Vegas Flamingos, 5-4. Berneu went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Thundercats. Joe Pruitt got credit for the save for Richardson City. It was his 3rd of the year. The Flamingos drop to 7-7 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2031 season.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Felipe Campos was at the plate when Richardson City scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Thundercats to go in front, 3-2.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Richardson City manager Imran Kopitar.
