Late Rally by Blaze Secures Win
|
The 2031 season is off to a good start for the South Beach Blaze. The hometown Blaze knocked off the Chicago Tula, 2-1, at The Ballpark on the Beach. South Beach pitcher Ingo Abresch was named player of the game. In 9 innings, Abresch surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run.
Noah Martone was the walk-off hero for South Beach. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blaze first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
