Storm Sneak Past 1787 BC, 4-3
|
Syracuse Storm starter Ken French was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Delaware 1787 BC, 4-3. Syracuse reliever Kerry Tenner was credited with the win, to go to 7-1. John Jewell took the loss for Delaware. Barry Rozner was called on to finish, recording his 5th save.
Salvador Ramírez's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a splitter from John Jewell for a run-scoring single. It put Syracuse in front, 4-3.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Ramírez said.
