Peter Ventola pitched a gem to lead Syracuse to a 2-0 victory over the Hogsmeade Cauldrons. Barry Rozner got the save, his 4th in 5 chances. The Storm bumped their record to 57-35 with this latest triumph.

The Storm got a big at-bat from first baseman Bora Garasanin. For the game, Garasanin went 1-4 with a double. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 24th double of the season gave Syracuse a 1-0 lead.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Garasanin said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
