Coffman Dazzles in New Amsterdam Win
|
New Amsterdam Dutchmen starter Walt Coffman turned in an exceptional performance against the Philadelphia 1776 BC at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum, resulting in a New Amsterdam win, 2-1. Glenn Butler finished to wrap up his 1st save. New Amsterdam is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 4th in 11 games.
The BC had little chance against Coffman, who overpowered Philadelphia 1776 hitters and struck out 10.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said New Amsterdam skipper Sal Gaudio. "I can't complain."
