Dragonblood Clip 1787 BC in Tight Contest

The Yellowknife Dragonblood beat the Delaware 1787 BC, 6-4, at Carrier Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Gerrie Bond, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Dragonblood now have a record of 29-39 with the win over Delaware.
Bond had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Matt O'Keevan, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Dragonblood a 6-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Bond.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Bond said after the game.
