The Yellowknife Dragonblood got a magnificent performance from pitcher Hercules Mata'afa, who muffled the Bellevue offense en route to a tight 3-0 Dragonblood win at The Dragon Den. Yellowknife is now 20-27, Bellevue 23-24.
The tension was thick in the top of the sixth inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Bellevue trailing 3-0, Hercules Mata'afa had to get a big out. On a 2-2 cutter, he retired Julián Valentín, who flied out.
