The Chiefs faced a stiff challenge from Hammond pitcher Charlie Fairthorne, but persevered to claim a win at The Heron Refuge. The final score was 3-1. Fairthorne went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Orynn Veillon picked up the save for Connetquot, his 11th of the year. The Chiefs own a robust 30-15 mark.

One of the key players for the Chiefs was right fielder Jackson Curry, who drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning. For the game, Curry went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks.
