Victory Over Cauldrons Takes Syracuse to 28-16
Syracuse Storm starter Ken French turned in a top-notch performance against the Hogsmeade Cauldrons at Storm Park. The result was a win for the Storm, 4-1. The winning pitcher was French, now 5-3. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. The Storm have an impressive 28-16 record.

The Storm got a big at-bat from shortstop Javier Sandoval. For the game, Sandoval was 1-4. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 39th hit of the season gave Syracuse a 3-1 lead.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," French told the Syracuse Herald.
