Mariano Saelices left his imprint on the 6-3 Hogsmeade win against the Delaware 1787 BC. Saelices, who is rated as the 98th best prospect by BNN, hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Carlos Villegas, credited with the win, is now 4-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Hogsmeade is now 23-17. Delaware is 23-17.
Saelices had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the 14th. On a first pitch fastball from Scotty Mitchell, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Cauldrons a 6-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Saelices.
