Cauldrons Pin 5-3 Loss on Mango
|
The Hogsmeade Cauldrons topped the Provo Mango by the score of 5-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Conor Gallon. Gallon was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Cauldrons on the day. Hogsmeade reliever Glenn Kren picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Isaaka Ienimea took the loss. With the win, the Cauldrons improved to 17-12.
Lu Tsai helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run double to give Hogsmeade a 2-0 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Hogsmeade manager Jamie Randall. "It's usually not just one thing."
