Farina Now 2-1 After Subduing Dragonblood
|
It was a fun time at Mango Yard, where the Yellowknife Dragonblood and Provo Mango tangled.
Provo Mango starter Giuseppe Farina was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Yellowknife Dragonblood, 10-2. Provo occupies 5th place in the Silver A at 12-11.
Farina, a native of Cesena, Italy, was dealing all game. He kept Yellowknife hitters off-balance, while giving the Mango 9 quality innings. Farina threw 115 pitches, allowing 6 hits and striking out 9.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Farina. "Successful pitchers do it."
