The Storm faced a stiff challenge from Connetquot pitcher Floyd Cala, but persevered to claim a win at Storm Park. The final score was 4-3. Cala went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The win was credited to Kerry Tenner in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kade Kinnamon took the loss. Nand Lal Chaudhary earned the save for Syracuse, his 6th.
Had Javier Sandoval not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Sandoval hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Storm.

Syracuse, at 12-10, sits in 4th place in the Silver A.
