The Bellevue Bruins topped the Put-In-Bay BC, 3-1, in USSL Single A action at Put-In-Bay Ballpark. The player of the game was Bellevue pitcher Miguel Angel Martínez. Paco Salazar picked up the save, his 3rd. The BC drop to 8-8 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2031 season.
In the top of the eighth inning, right fielder Julián Valentín came through big-time for the Bruins. With Bellevue leading 2-1, he belted a solo home run.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Valentín said.
