The Delaware 1787 BC beat the Bellevue Bruins, 5-2, at Bellevue Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Gerold Olthof, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win gives the 1787 BC a record of 6-8.

Tied up with the Bruins in the top of the fifth inning, the 1787 BC got a boost from second baseman Hai-feng Tang. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Tang saw a 1-1 fastball from José Blanco and hit a run-scoring double to break the stalemate and put Delaware on top, 2-1.

"I thought we played a nice game," Olthof told the Delaware Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
