Connetquot Makes It 6 Straight with 4-1 Win

The Chiefs faced a stiff challenge from Hogsmeade pitcher Chris Hughes, but persevered to claim a win at Gators Ballpark. The final score was 4-1. Hughes went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The winner was Edgar Carter, who threw 108 pitches over 8 innings. The left-hander was charged with 1 run on 9 hits. Orynn Veillon picked up the save, his 4th.
Ángel Ríos made it 4-1 in favor of Connetquot when he delivered a 3-run home run. It came with no one out in the top of the ninth. The Chiefs went on to win.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Chiefs manager Don Nelson, "I like our chances."
