The Connetquot Chiefs bested the Put-In-Bay BC, 4-2, at The Big Teepee. Dan Chrzan was named player of the game. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Floyd Cala, who threw 98 pitches over 7.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits. Connetquot, now 5-1, has played well in the early going.
Chrzan had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 changeup from Jin-guo Quan, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Chiefs a 3-1 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Chrzan.
