BC Come Up Short at Connetquot
|
The Connetquot Chiefs did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Put-In-Bay BC at The Big Teepee. Nobody did more than pitcher Vinny Mariani, who captured player of the game honors. Kade Kinnamon picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Carl Stewart was tagged with the loss. The Chiefs, now 4-1, have been playing some good baseball.
Dan Chrzan, who was drafted in the three round of the 2028 draft, aided the Connetquot cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"It feels good to get that win," said Chrzan. "Now it's on to the next one."
