Expos Win at Nebraska, 6-4
|
Nebraska center fielder Phil McCroskey had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-4, to Niagara Falls at Plain Old Stadium. McCroskey went 3-3 with a triple, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Niagara Falls reliever Jorge Morales was credited with the win, to go to 2-4. Orlando Hernández took the loss for Nebraska. Fidelio Zeri got the save, the 4th for him this season.
Sébastien Cornu chipped in for Niagara Falls with a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Cornu.
Niagara Falls is now 47-49. Nebraska is 41-55.
