Jets Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Torch

Mancelona pitcher John Penton gave the Jets all they could handle, but in the end, Kennesaw left Torch Field with a 5-2 win. Penton allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings. Mau Delgado got the save, the 4th for him this season. Kennesaw is now riding a 4-game win streak.
Had Thierry Honoré not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Honoré hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Jets.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Kennesaw manager António Sáenz.
