Zhi Rips Nebraska for 5 Hits
|
Cheh Zhi put on a hitting clinic today as the Belleville Bulls dumped the Nebraska Plainsmen 10-1 at Plain Old Stadium.
The Belleville shortstop made Nebraska defenders earn their pay, lashing Nebraska pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Zhi said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Cheh Zhi singled in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
Zhi is hitting .246 so far this season with 8 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has 31 hits including 1 home run, 5 walks and .307 OBP.
