Expos Prevail, 5-3, Over Louisiana
|
It was a fun time at Waterfall Park, where the Louisiana Dragoons and Niagara Falls Expos tangled.
The Niagara Falls Expos bested the Louisiana Dragoons, 5-3, at Waterfall Park. Ray Carey was named player of the game. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Niagara Falls reliever Fidelio Zeri was credited with the win, to go to 5-2. Teo van der Meulen took the loss for Louisiana.
Carey had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Teo van der Meulen, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Expos a 5-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Carey.
"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said Carey. "Obviously."
The Expos now have a mark of 34-32.
