Preston Witt added some punch to the Vancouver offense, helping them outmuscle the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 10-8. In the game, Witt, who is rated as the 17th best prospect by BNN, went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Ramón Costello earned his 2nd save in 2 chances. Vancouver, at 63-44, sits in second place in the Premier League.

Witt had a key at-bat for Vancouver early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and gave Vancouver an early 2-0 lead.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Witt said after the game.
