Dragoons Prevail, 5-4, Over York

The Louisiana Dragoons faced a tough opponent in York pitcher Tony Zavala, but did just enough to pull out the victory at York Park by a final score of 5-4. Zavala went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Chris Holland got credit for the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings. Louisiana goes to 34-19. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.
The Dragoons got a big at-bat from right fielder Wallace Belyeu. For the game, Belyeu was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Louisiana a 4-1 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Louisiana manager Justin Trewhells.
