Seahawks Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Expos
|
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks topped the Niagara Falls Expos, 6-4, with youngster Shohei Otani playing a key role. Otani was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Seahawks in the win. Jorge Lugo got credit for the save for Myrtle Beach. It was his 1st of the year. Myrtle Beach, at 14-31, occupies last place in the Menard's A.
Otani had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth, when he hit a 2-run single. The Seahawks went on to win.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Otani.
