Louisiana Dragoons starter Benjamin Weightman turned in an exceptional performance against the Alameda Airmen at Alameda Field, resulting in a Louisiana win, 5-1. Weightman picked up the win for Louisiana, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. Jong-yun Chong earned his 2nd save in 3 tries.
Louisiana third baseman Pat Sizemore made his contribution to the Dragoons cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning. For the day, Sizemore was 1-5.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Sizemore told the Louisiana Gazette. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
