Myrtle Beach starter César Soto pitched effectively against the Niagara Falls Expos at Waterfall Park. The right-hander led his team to a 7-2 win. Even with the win, the Seahawks have a dismal 13-30 record.
Lucas Gallant aided the Myrtle Beach cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.
Gallant told a Myrtle Beach Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
